1940-1948 Dodge Chrysler DeSoto Plymouth NOS Mopar PAIR Door Latch Lock

Description: One PAIR of NEW old stock Mopar door latches fitting 1940-1948 DeSoto, Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge STEEL BODY cars. This pair is so unique in 60 years of dealing old Mopar parts they are the only ones I ever found. They are about 1 1/2" shorter than any of the other locks. There were no part numbers. An educated guess is they are for the ultra rare Town Sedans that the rear doors hinged at the front. The value to the latches is not to a Town Sedan owner but as donor latches for the spring and rotors to rebuild worn latches on all other body styles either front or rear doors. The art of rebuilding latches is not for a novice and I do not encourage people getting above their skill levels but finding new latches is both difficult and expensive.
