This drawing shows the arrangement of the exterior lighting system, modernized by the addition of 16 special mercury vapor floodlight projectors and reconditioning of the 96 incandescent floodlights. A combination of mercury vapor lamps and incandescent bulbs will brighten the torch. Miss Liberty, whose floodlights have been extinguished since Pearl Harbor, will relighted as a victory signal when either Germany or Japan capitulates. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
