Decorated with a layer of pure metallic gold flakes(aventurine) finally covered by a layer of clear glass. It's a gorgeous piece! Shown in both warm and cool lighting to present a wide range of appearances. The pontil/base is flat and shows the expected shelf wear consistent with its age. It's even more beautiful in person! Though it lost its label, it's made in the style of the artists of Gambaro & Poggi, c. mid-1970s, and confidently attributed to their furnace.Gambaro & Poggi is an Italian glass company that produces a variety of glass art, including ducks, polar bears, and vases.
