Description: About this vehicle This is an incredible 1971 Torino 429 Cobra Jet. This car is immaculate inside and out. Absolute beautiful restoration done around 2007-2008. Aproximently 4000 miles on car since restoration. Seller's Notes This is how the Rebuilt 429 CJ Engine is being built: DOVE-A block bored 60 New pistons, rings, main bearings, rod bearings, pushrods, etc Crank turned Original Cobra Jet heads with new valves, springs, etc Original Cobra Jet exhaust manifolds Super Cobra Jet intake manifold with New Holley 850 dual feed double pump carb New water pump New fuel pump *CJ intake for Rodchester carb is available if buyer wants to switch. I do NOT have a Rodchester carb This newly rebuilt 429 CJ comes with a warrant from builder. It should be completed very soon. I will work with buyer for me to install or if buyer wants to install he can keep the 429 Thunderjet. Update 10/22/24. New engine ready to run on engine stand. Cash or Bank transfer for payment. Vehicle Details The Marti report and a letter from Ford motor Company shows this car has been restored as it was ordered from factory. Medium metallic blue with a perfect paint finish. The wheels, interior, Hurst 4 speed Top Loader transmission, etc all redone as ordered. The only thing that is NOT correct is the engine. It currently has a 429 Thunderjet. The rear main leaks oil. But I have a model year correct 429 Cobra Jet completely model year correct being built at machine shop. Should be completed very soon. Will sell car either way.
