You are bidding on about 50 WOOD HYACINTH (Hyacinthoides hispanica ) . syn : Scilla hispanica also known as Spanish bluebell . I'm also selling these as live plants in the spring , see my other items for sale . Very easy to grow and even self seeds . The stronger and bigger cousin of the English bluebell. They produce stems 14 to 18 inches high with many bells in a mix of white , blue and pink flowers . A vigorous grower which is rewarding even when planted in infertile soil. These seeds will produce bulbs and are some of the most attractive bulbs for the late spring garden, but are not often available from bulb supply companies. These bulbs are among the easiest to grow from seed, and although it may take a few years before you see you first blooms, you will be rewarded handsomely when they do flower. These are very shade tolerant but also grows in full sun . Cultivation: Very easy to grow . They even self seed .Sow seed in a cool greenhouse or cold frame in spring. Grow in any good garden soil with good drainage. Bulbs will attain flowering size in 2-3 years.prefers full shade to partial shade or partial sun; soil should be moist . Hardiness Range: 4A - 10a Medicinal use of Bluebell: The bulb has diuretic and styptic properties. It is used as a remedy for leucorrhoea. Other uses of Bluebell: A glue is obtained from the sap in the bulb and stem. Simply cut open a bulb and apply the sap to whatever needs to be joined. It makes an excellent paper glue, the join is stronger than the surrounding paper. It would not work on non-absorbent materials such as plastics and glass.
