It is finely hand-painted in oil on a tin panel. The painting depicts the Virgin Mary holding the Baby Jesus wrapped in a cloth. The Baby Jesus holds his mother's hand and sleeve for support. They both wear elaborate golden crowns and are surrounded by a golden halo. The Virgin Mary's dark blue cape is initialed with her ciphers. The retablo is mounted in a modern wooden frame. CONDITION: It shows its age and uses, pierced with a small hole for suspension, with minor wear and flakes in paint, as consistent with age. No repairs or restorations.
