Description: ANTIQUE & UNUSUAL RATCHETING HAND WOOD AUGER with 1 1/8" BITI have not seen an wood auger like this before and there are no markings on it to indicate manufacturer or year. It has a ratchet mechanism that will either ratchet in a clockwise or counterclockwise rotation or it can lock in both directions. Included is an auger twist drill bit marked "18" and so I believe it will bore a 1 1/8 inch hole. This bit is 17 1/2 inches long. If anyone can give me more information, it would be appreciated.
