Description: The item for sale is a porcelain pitcher that was presumably made in Austria during the early twentieth century. The shield or beehive mark was used by Ackermann & Fritze. The mark was applied on the transparent to glaze rather than underneath. The decoration is a hand painted stylized floral type in both blue and red. The enamels were applied on top of the transparent glaze. It appears to have an Asian influence. The handle is bifurcated at the top. There is fine gilding in the decoration as well. The pitcher was previously owned. There are no chips, cracks nor other types of damage. There are some very minor traces of wear. The height, width and length are 3 1/2" x 3 3/4" x 4 1/2".
