Description: Up for your consideration is this Rare 1940's Antique Stockton, California Buck Leckler Kapok Stuffed Canvas Pintail Drake Duck Decoy With Flat Bottom, Original Paint & Shoe Button Eyes. It measures approximately 16” long x 5” wide x 7 1/4” high. This was a working decoy so there are some canvas tears, 4 around the wood base 2 in the body and one shoe button eye is missing (see photos). The original eyelet for the weight is on the bottom and has all original paint and a wire loop for hanging at the tail. These decoys were made in Stockton, California and don’t come up for sale very often especially with all original paint. Examples of his decoys can be seen on page 466 of Wildfowl Decoys Of California by Michael Miller. Displays nicely.
