Description: Rare WR Case & Sons Cutlery Co. 2001 Case Dealer limited edition model Smatchet knife in a glass top hardwood display; hand-finished in Bradford, PA; USA. The design of huge knife can be traced to the original WW2 era “Smatchet” fighting knife that Case manufactured for the Office of Strategic Service Command (OSS) during the war. This massive knife is bout 15-1/2″ / 39.5 cm overall; the blade is about 11″ / 28 cm. Exotic cocobolo handle with extra-wide nickel-silver guard; mirror-polished blade with a beautiful 24K gold -plated etching; "long C" logo and serial number 092 are engraved on ricasso. The knife is housed within hardwood presentation case; it has never been removed. The case is about 20"x12"x2.25"; it in excellent condition; all parts are tight; original COA is enclosed. Rare limited edition Case Dealer's knife - only a few hundred of these were made on the "pre-order" basis. This massive knife features exotic cocobolo handle with extra-wide nickel-silver guard and mirror-polished blade with a beautiful 24K gold -plated etching; "long C" logo and serial number 092 engraved on ricasso. Solid full-tang construction; this Smatchet is about 15-1/2″ / 39.5 cm overall; the blade is about 11″ / 28 cm long. The knife is housed within hardwood presentation case; it has never been removed. Hardwood presentation case is about 20" x 12" x 2.25"; it could be mounted on the wall; it's in excellent condition; all parts are tight. Original COA is enclosed within a clear plastic pouch on the back panel. These CASE DEAL knives are VERY hard to find in any condition these days, especially with the original case and COA included.
