Some tools need the long screw, others are better with the short one. Install without battery in tool then take a look to make sure screw will not interfere with sliding battery into the tool. These work great even though not genuine DeWalt part. ***Bits slide in from the open end of the clip (don't try to snap them in from the top). Designed for bits 2" or longer and not intended for the stubby 1" long bit. This product ships in a bubble mailer from Canada.
