Diocletian was the Roman emperor from AD 284-305. The coin's obverse reflects the legend "Α Κ Γ ΟΥΑΛ ΔΙΟΚΛΗΤΙΑΝΟϹ ϹЄΒ", laureate and cuirassed bust facing right.
