A NOTE FROM CHARLIE: When I was a growin' up the only kind of pump was a hand pump in the kitchen used to get the water up out of the well and inta the sink. Snugg Harbor has taken the giant step of gettin' rid of all them outhouses and the town went and built one of them there sewage treatment plants instead - got a lot of these here 'electric pumps at the treatment plant now. Not sure how it's all gonna work, but I sure don't miss sitting' in the outhouse any more - especially on them cold winter nights.
