Description: GORGEOUS ROBINSON EDKINS & ASTON EARLY VICTORIAN STERLING SILVER BASKET HM 1846 Click images to enlarge Description An exceptionally fine, early Victorian, sterling silver swing handled pedestal basket made in Birmingham in 1846 by Robinson, Edkins & Aston. The basket is 10 1/2" in diameter 4" tall to the rim & 9" tall to the top of the handle. The basket weighs 636 grams (20.6 troy oz) of unweighted sterling silver. The basket has a pierced foliate rim with inner scrollwork and central well which has a three character monogram. The swing handle has a matching foliate design.
