DESCRIPTION: This old postcard features a view of soldiers on horseback during the Morocco Campaign. There are French officers and native Spahis. The Spahis were light cavalry regiments of the French army recruited primarily from the indigenous populations of Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco. One of the officers is Lieutenant Roze, he died leading a platoon of Spahis. Oudjda Morocco cancels are on the front, there is a cachet Colonne D'Occupation D'Oudjda La Colonel Com dt on both sides.
