Description: This item for sale is a beautiful example of Santa Clara Pueblo pottery. This is a small black ware pot made by Stella Chavarria. She is known for her hand coiled and deeply incised black ware pottery with exquisite polishing. She is part of an amazing family legacy of potters, from her mother, Teresita Naranjo, to her daughters, Denise and Sunday Chavarria. This pot measures approximately 4" by 4". It has deeply carved patterns reminiscent of a water motif. It is signed on the bottom by the artist. Thanks for looking!
