Description: 1860’s Vienna Regulator 2 Weight Regulatorfabrik Germania “RG” Clock very rare for this age and manufacturer.The clock is approximately 52 inches tall, 21 inches wide at the top moulding and 7 inches deep at the top molding. The back plate has the RG logo Crown with anchor below. Searching RG MANUFACTURERS The trademark with "RG" belonged to the Regulatorfabrik Germania, in Freiburg/Schlesien. Also known as the Regulateur-Uhren-Fabrik Germania. Judging by the serial number 57285 on the back plate, this was probably made in or around 1875-1880.The company was founded by former Gustav Becker workers in 1871, and was one of the so-called Freiburger regulator factories which merged with Gustav Becker in 1899 to form Vereinigte Freiburger Uhrenfabriken Aktiengesellschaft/Gustav Becker (VFU/GB). The clock works and chime 1/2 hour and each hour accordingly.Is in overall good condition with some signs of normal wear and age present. Also have some damage on the case, missing a few finals on top and the bottom. One moulding also missing on the lowest right bottom. All discrepancies I pictured.Otherwise it appears to be all original. The suspension leader have number103274 which match same number on the pendulum. See pictures.The clock has an 8 day time and strike movement. Chime can be adjusted as you like.Please note that any mechanical clock that is shipped might require adjustments or clock master addition attention upon arrival. Thus, time accuracy is not guaranteed. Clock recently with basic oiled. Note: top ornament will be removed and packed individually for safest delivery.Clock sold as is.
