Description: Offered is this vintage painting on wood. The folk-style painting depicts a small village amidst autumn woods, with a horse-drawn milk wagon and a few other locals in the foreground, and whimsical touches like the out-of-scale bluebirds on the house roofs. The painting is signed "HG" and is dated 1982. I have not been able to find out who the artist is. The painting, which appears to have been painted on the lid of a packing crate or storage box, is in excellent condition; I see no damage to the painting itself or to the wood. It is approx. 25" x 21", with the painted surface about 21" x 17". The wood is approx. 3/4" thick, with two supports behind it that are also approx. 3/4" thick. There is no hanger installed but there are some slots in the supports that could be used to hang on to pre-installed wall nails or hooks (see last photo). Naturally this is rather heavy and large so shipping may be high. I would welcome in-person pickup by anyone close enough to make it feasible.
